What is the best recipe for hamburger stroganoff?

I have never made stroganoff myself, but I knew somebody that made good stroganoff consisting of sour cream, mushroom soup, and mushrooms. I know there is other ingredients, and i'd like to make it this way (i've seen flour substituted for soup, etc.) but I don't have the exact recipe, and I cannot find it on the net, can somebody please give me the recipe??What is the best recipe for hamburger stroganoff?

All these answers look good, but I add in Cream Cheese in mine.

1 lb. ground beef

1 beef boulion (2 if want more flavor)

1 tub sour cream

1 brick cream cheese

1 lb. egg noodles

salt and pepper.

I think it makes it more creamy and besides, my husband doesn't like mushrooms.
Hamburger helper and hamburger should do it for you, is this a class exercise? It is sometimes cheaper to cook from boxes or eat at a restaraunt any more then it is to make things for yourself. Food is really expensive now a days
