Hamburger Stew......put hamburger in stew pan.....with some chopped onions...cook until no longer pink....add whatever cans of veggies (and juices) you have on hand.....corn-peas-gr.beans-lima beans-tomatoes-etc.

Hamburger gravy......just like sausage gravy only use your hamburger.

Hamburger Casserole/Pie

1 lb. ground beef

1 pkg.dry Onion Soup mix

3 oz. tomato paste

1 cup Cheese Crumbles

1 4oz. container egg substitute

1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin mix

1.) Mix hamburger %26amp; onion soup mix in skillet and cook until meat is

no longer pink. Add tomato paste and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain

excess drippings from meat mixture.

2.)Meanwhile mix corn muffin mix as directed and spread a thin layer

in a 8'; square cake pan. Set remaining mixture aside.

3.)Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese crumbles.

4.)Add meat mixture and spread evenly.

5.)Sprinkle remaining cheese over meat mixture

6.)Pour egg substitute over meat %26amp; cheese mixture.

7.)Spread top with remaining muffin mix %26amp; bake 25 minutes at 350

degrees or until golden brown.

This was something I came up with (experimental) to use hamburger in another way.

Cooking for 2 and don’t want a lot of left-overs….even though I had some….put in freezer for another meal later.

Getting tired of burgers....meatloaf....chili.....etc....…

something my husband might like. (which he did)....with ingredients I

had on hand. Could propably serve with sour cream and/or salsa.

Thought about using Taco Seasoning %26amp; salsa....but didn't think he

would like it as well. (Next time, maybe.)

This would probably fit in a pie pan. I used a foil cake pan (bought

at Dollar Tree...(almost an 8” square pan)…throw away when empty....easy clean-up).
well..meatloaf is always good...and there's hamburger gravy- that's basically just fried hamburger, then you make a gravy out of it using baking soda and water, with a little bit of 'kitchen magic' to get it good and brown. Serve over lumpy mashed taters.

Salisbury steaks, shepherd's pie...all those are good-and the recipes are easy to find on google. AND, don't forget tater tot hotdish! My favorite recipe for that is:

1 bag tator tots(regular, seasoned, or onion...it's up to you)

1.5 lbs hamburger, browned

1 medium can of Veg-all(mixed veggies) or french cut green beans

1 can of either cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup

12 slices american cheese(optional)

drain the veggies, and mix them together with the hamburger, and cream of mushroom soup in a cake pan. Place a layer of tator tots evenly over the top. Pop in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 350. Pull out of the oven and place the sliced cheese evenly over the top of the tater tots. Put back in till the cheese is melted evenly.

This is a great one-pan meal, and the left overs aren't too shabby either
Hamburger is the most versatile meat around. I often buy a ton when its on sale - I repackage it in Gallon size ziplock bags (or foodsaver bags) and make them flat with a rolling pin, then I label and date them and store in the freezer. Just last night I made enchilada casserole and browned up hamburger, drained, poured enchilada sauce into pan, left on until warm. I cut up some leftover corn tortillas, layered them in the bottom of a sprayed casserole dish and then added the meat/enchilada sauce mixture, then added chopped onion and shredded cheese, repeating this process once more - then I baked it at 350 until the cheese was browning and the casserole was bubbly. It was great! The best way I cook is to just throw stuff together and see what happens. I didn't have a recipe, just an idea and it turned out real good! I put a dallop of sour cream on mine because I used hot enchilada sauce and needed to cool it down a bit! You can make all kinds of different casseroles with hamburger. Get creative and try it - the good thing is if its not a winner, you will remember and not duplicate it!

One of my tricks for duplicating a good recipe is any seasonings I use, I leave on the counter until we have eaten and that way if the family likes it, I can jot down how I made it (never using exact quantities but approximations) and then I add it to my recipe box for future use!

You can mix browned hamburger with cooked macaroni, and a can of chili. Add cheese on top and bake. This is real good! You can make a soup and add little uncooked meatballs to the soup and they will boil in the broth with whatever your cooking in there. Just be creative and try new things! Good luck!
Shepherds pie.

Hamburger with onions, mushrooms, carrots, peas, salt and pepper, with a meat stock. Place in an oven dish for around 45 mins - 1 hour.

Boil some potatoes to make a mash. For added flavour add garlic to the potatoes when mashing. Place the mashed potato to the hamburger mixture. Be sure to make sure the gravy is below the top of the hamburger so it doesn't sink.

Place back in the oven for 20 mins. Just before serving you could add sliced tomato and grated cheese to the top of the potato, place back in the oven until the cheese browns.

Serve with some other vegetables.
My kids love it, but you cook the ground beef and season with salt and papper or whatever, spread it in the bottom of a baking pan, on top 1-2 cans of cut green beans, then pour 1-2 cans of tomato sauce, and on top of that cover with mashed potatos and sprinkle on some shredded cheese and bake, pretty simple and good.
Stroganoff, add some to vegetable soup, use as a pizza topping, meatloaf and meatballs. You could also go online and get some creative and different recipes for burgers and lasagna (I recommend searching for some of Rachael Ray's burger recipes). Of course you could also freeze it for a couple of months.
I make meatloaf. All ya need is 2 pounds hamburger and 1 box Stove top stuffing (not cornbread) You can add a little salt, pepper and garlic powder which is also fine. Add veggies if you like them, we dont so we dont put them in there. The stove top pretty much seasons it.

All you do is mix together and put it in a baking dish at 350* for 45 minutes. Top with ketchup and bake til its bubbly.
