1. Manwich Sloppy Joes. Follow the instructions on the can. Not very original, but easy and tasty.

2. Meatloaf

1 1/2 lb ground beef

3 slices bread, grated to make crumbs, or torn into small pieces

1 egg, beaten

1/4 cup minced or grated onion (optional)

1/2 to 1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional)

1 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

1 tablespoon (or more, to taste)

ketchup -OR-

teriyaki baste and glaze sauce -OR-

Worcestershire sauce -OR-

barbecue sauce

Heat oven to 350

Mix all ingredients thoroughly

Dump into a loaf pan, pat smooth and roughly flat

With your finger, or the back of a spoon make a small trough in the top of the meat loaf, almost end to end.

Pour some ketchup (or whichever sauce you used) in the trough, as a glaze.

(Or you could sprinkle some bread crumbs over the top of the loaf before baking)

Bake 1 1/2 hour or til done (longer if you like it browner, I do). Check after about 45 minutes. If the sauce or glaze you put on top is browning too much, cover lightly with foil.

Great hot, with mashed potaoes and the veg of your choice, or cold, for meatloaf sandwiches!

Not glamorous, but always good!

3. Noodles Corn and Boogs

My best friend's family had 6 kids, this is what the kids called this; you could call it Noodles Corn and Burger, if you prefer :-))

Brown 1 1/2 lb of hamburger

Cook half a bag of egg noodles according to pkg instructions, drain

2 (or 3) 12-oz cans creamed corn, right out of the can

Butter or margarine

Grease a 3 or 4 quart casserole dish. Too big is better than too small.

Put in a layer of hamburger.

Top with a layer of noodles.

Dot noodles with butter.

Cover with a layer of creamed corn

Don't worry about being really precise with quantites in each layer, or if the layers are even.

Repeat til all ingredients used

Cover and Bake for 45 min or an hour at 300, 325, 350 (This is a VERY forgiving recipe!)

You could also add ketchup or tomato sauce, if you feel like it, just don't get it too soupy.

You could also sprinkle bread crumbs or cronbread crumbs over the top before baking.
UMMM... my momma makes my hamburgers with steak seasoning. it tastes like heaven on two hamburger rolls.
