I am grilling out tonight and want to try something different. Any ideas? What is your favorite homemade hamburger recipe?
My son made these last night on the grill:

1 lb. hamburger

1 lb. bulk Italian sausage

1 pkg. onion soup mix.

minced red bell peppers

minced garlic

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup water

Steak seasoning to sprinkle on top while they are grilling

Mix all together (except steak seasoning) and form patties. These are so good and juicy. What is your favorite homemade hamburger recipe?
INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 eggs, slightly beaten

3/4 cup soft bread crumbs

1/4 cup ketchup

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons butter

8 ounces sliced mushrooms

6 slices Cheddar, Mozzarella, or American cheese

6 split buns, toasted

PREPARATION:

Combine ground beef, onion, eggs, bread crumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper; shape into into twelve thin (about 1/4-inch thick) patties. In a skillet, melt the butter and saut茅 the mushrooms until just tender.

Place mushrooms on 6 of the patties. Top with remaining patties and seal edges. Broil or grill the burgers to desired doneness. Top each with a slice of cheese and let melt. Serve on split toasted buns.

Serves 6.
You could try using ground pork instead of beef. Top with swiss cheese and pineapple. Use ranch dressing instead of mayo. You can find lots of fun hamburger stuff and cheap tips at the site listed below
I like to add a new sauce or topping to the bugers, for flavor.

Try this or chutneys are good too...onion chutney etc....

I used to make this in college. It's artery-hardening, but very good. It's similar to cheeseburger macaroni hamburger helper, but much tastier and not much more work.
