5. Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

6. 2 tablespoons dried currants

7. 2 tablespoons pine nuts

8. 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped flat-leaf parsley

9. 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest

10. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

11. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

15. Vegetable oil, for grill

16. 4 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls, split

2. Cooking Directions

1. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt with the mint, garlic and 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice. Season the yogurt sauce with salt and pepper and refrigerate.

2. In a mini food processor, combine the dried currants, pine nuts, chopped parsley, lemon zest, cumin, coriander and cinnamon with the remaining 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of salt. Process the ingredients until a coarse paste forms.

3. Scrape the currant -pine nut paste into a large bowl and add the ground lamb. Using your hands, gently mix the ground meat thoroughly with the seasonings and pat into 4 plump burgers. Set the burgers on a plate, cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

4. Light a grill. Lightly brush the grate with oil. Grill the burgers over a medium-hot fire for 6 minutes per side for medium rare. Grill the buns, cut side down, until toasted. Set the burgers on the buns and serve with the mint-yogurt sauce.

Yield: 4 servings

Special sauce: Thousand Island Salad Dressing

Make a tex mex burger by adding taco seasoning to the ground beef, top with salsa and sliced avocado

Make an Italian burger by adding garlic and Italian seasonings to the ground beef, top with mozzarella cheese.

Make an Oriental burger by adding soy sauce to the ground beef and top with bean sprouts and sliced water chestnuts
This is a great recipe if you have picky eaters or kids who do not like to eat their veggies.

1 lb. Ground beef

1/2 cup chopped Onions

1/2 cup chopped green red yellow or orange bell peppers

1/2 cup chopped Mushrooms

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons A1 Steak sauce

2 tablespoons Kraft original BBQ sauce

Here's mine...

Mix into your ground beef the following:

diced onion

diced jalapeno peppers

chopped cooked bacon

small diced cheddar cheese cubes

splash of worstershire sauce

garlic powder

oregano

salt %26amp; pepper

Form into large patties and press a thumb print into the middle before cooking (burgers tend to shrink up and rise in the middle when cooking - the thumb print helps to prevent this and keeps your burger uniform in shape)
if there is a super target by you they have some special burgers. like bacon cheddar burgers and bleu cheese burgers. you just cook 'em up on the grill or on the stove. they are gooood.

or you can just make your own and put different kinds of cheese on them or try some different kinds of bacon.

just uh don't eat too many of them because they are not that good for you.

lol

I like to mix the ground meat with Italian bread crumbs , 1-2 eggs,

onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and parsley. First roll

like a oval meatball then flatten into a pattie. Either Fry in a little olive

oil and onions or bake in the oven or throw on the grill and add

your favorite cheese . These are mixed hamburgers, like meatballs but

instead of sauce you will put ketchup on them. Delicious.

serve with Home Fries and peas or corn on the cob.
My favorite is the Hidden Valley Ranch Recipe, medium rare, grilled over Kiawe (Mesquite) wood. Topped with swiss cheese, crisp lettuce, farm fresh tomato, and chipolte mayonnaise on a fresh toasted onion bun.

Just mix together (don't over work the meat):

(1 ounce) packet hidden valley original ranch dressing mix

1 lb lean ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

To 2 lbs of ground round, I add abotu 3 Tbsp of worcestershire sauce, about a Tbsp each of onion and garlic powders, and about 1/3 cup of cold water. (Yep! Keeps 'em moist.) Form into patties, making indentation in the middle (so when they cook, they will be flat, not rounded in the middle). Grill outside or in skillet, do NOT squeeze w/ spatula. Flip only once.
I call them Jose burgers.

I mix ground beef with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, and a little minced chipotle peppers. Make patties and grill them. Top with cheddar cheese and serve on buns with guacamole, lettuce, onion and tomato. Yum!
HAMBURGER PATTIES

1 lb. hamburger

1 egg

1/2 c. milk

1/2 c. bread or cracker crumbs

Dash Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Mix all together. Take a small amount and make a patty. Fry until brown on both sides.

My husband adds some A-1 sauce to the meat before he patties it up. That adds a little extra something.

My mother in law makes Blue Cheese burgers with crumbled blue cheese and provolone.

You could do a cowboy burger with A1 sauce and fried onions
stuff your burger!

make two thin patties using hamburger press

top one patty with some cheese and crumbled bacon

top that with other thin patty

press together and cook

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese on a sesame seed bun.
